Proprietary Trading Firm Updates of September 2026

Home » Proprietary Trading Firm Updates of September 2026

Hello everyone, and welcome to Proprietary Trading Firm Updates September 2026, where we cover the most important changes, announcements, and developments from across the prop trading industry each month. September 2026 brought another substantial round of activity, showing that proprietary trading firms are still moving quickly to strengthen their position in an increasingly competitive market.

As the industry develops, the differences between individual funding programs are becoming increasingly important. Profit targets and drawdown limits remain fundamental considerations, but traders are also evaluating payout structures, consistency requirements, scaling potential, trading restrictions, platform availability, and the conditions they can expect after successfully reaching a funded account.

Another area receiving considerably more attention is accessibility. Prop firms continue looking for ways to accommodate different strategies, experience levels, and capital requirements. This has resulted in a broader selection of evaluation structures, instant funding opportunities, account sizes, and customizable conditions, giving traders more control over the type of environment in which they want to operate.

Proprietary Trading Firm Updates of September 2026

We’re also seeing the market place greater emphasis on what happens after a trader becomes funded. Payout accessibility, scaling opportunities, account longevity, support, and the ability to trade consistently under clearly defined conditions are becoming major points of comparison. For traders, reaching funded status is only the beginning, which means the quality of the environment that follows is becoming increasingly important when evaluating a firm.

So, whether you’re already managing funded capital, researching your next proprietary trading firm, or simply following how the industry continues to evolve, we’ve gathered the most important developments from September 2026 into one complete breakdown.

With that being said, let’s start with the Proprietary Trading Firm Updates of September 2026.

FundingPips

FundingPips opened September with two developments centered around greater trading flexibility, expanding its cross-platform copy trading functionality while simultaneously removing three notable rules from newly purchased accounts.

  • Starting with its trading technology, the firm’s Trade Copier now supports Match-Trader, expanding beyond the existing MetaTrader 5 and cTrader compatibility.
  • However, the more significant September development came from FundingPips’ trading rules. The firm has removed three previously enforced restrictions, consisting of the Risk Per Trade Idea rule, Striking System, and Profit Concentration rule.
  • FundingPips has also highlighted a faster pathway toward Master status and customizable Daily Loss conditions as part of its broader account offering. Removing these rules gives traders considerably more control over how they distribute risk and generate their returns.

FundedNext

FundedNext continued expanding the amount of choice available within its ecosystem in September, introducing three Performance Reward structures for selected Stellar accounts alongside a new swap-free option through FNmarkets.

  • The first development affects the Stellar 2-Step and Stellar Lite programs, where traders can now choose between three different reward structures rather than operating under a single standardized payout arrangement. The available structures range from a more conventional 21-day reward cycle to on-demand withdrawals with a 90% reward share, with different conditions creating a trade-off between withdrawal frequency, consistency requirements, and the percentage of profits retained by the trader.
  • FundedNext also introduced a separate improvement through FNmarkets, where swap-free trading is now available for eligible Standard and Raw accounts. The update removes overnight swap charges, which can be particularly relevant for traders who routinely maintain positions across multiple sessions. Swing traders and strategies built around longer-duration market movements can otherwise accumulate financing costs simply by keeping positions open beyond the trading day.

The5%ers

Next up is The5%ers:

  • The5%ers made its main September development on the technology side with the introduction of MCP support, creating a new way for traders to interact with their account information through supported AI assistants.

Crypto Fund Trader

Crypto Fund Trader concentrated its September developments on speed and consolidation.

  • Starting with withdrawals, the firm has introduced Instant Payouts for eligible traders, reducing the time between generating profits and actually receiving them.
  • Crypto Fund Trader has opened the waitlist for a new trading terminal built around a more unified approach to trading and account management.

Hola Prime

Hola Prime delivered another extensive set of changes in September, with the latest updates primarily focused on removing execution restrictions while maintaining clearly defined risk controls.

  • One of the most important adjustments concerns the firm’s mandatory stop-loss requirement across Forex and Futures Hola Prime Simulated Funded accounts.
  • Hola Prime also removed its previous 60% maximum profit concentration trigger, meaning traders are no longer have restrictions by that specific condition if a substantial percentage of their profits comes from one particularly successful trade or trading day. The firm’s 70% maximum margin rule has also been removed, providing traders with greater discretion over how much available margin they use when executing their strategies. Together, these adjustments give traders more control over position sizing, margin utilization, and the distribution of their profits. Importantly, they do so without removing the firm’s headline risk framework altogether. Hola Prime also increased index leverage across several of its programs.
  • For Pro plans, index leverage increased from 1:10 to 1:20, while Prime and Prime X plans moved from 1:5 to 1:10. The updated leverage became effective for new trades opened after 21:00 UTC on September 6, while positions already open before the implementation were not retroactively affected.
  • Automated traders also received a new option through the introduction of an MT5 EA Add-On. The add-on enables the use of Expert Advisors, indicators, and trading bots through MetaTrader 5 for an additional fee.
  • On the account-monitoring side, Hola Prime has introduced new PNL and equity alerts within its dashboard.
  • Finally, access to Wealth Charts has been simplified. Traders can now log in using their registered email address instead of having to manage a separate username, removing another small but practical point of friction from the platform experience.

FTMO

Next up is FTMO:

  • FTMO reached an important milestone in September with FTMO Futures now live in beta, extending one of the proprietary trading industry’s most established brands into the futures segment. Rather than building the new offering around a completely unfamiliar proprietary interface, FTMO has launched Futures with support for NinjaTrader, Tradovate, and TradingView. This platform selection is particularly relevant for experienced futures traders. Trading workflows can become highly personalized over time, and moving to a new prop firm can sometimes require traders to rebuild chart layouts, learn different execution tools, or change software entirely.

Leveraged

Leveraged had an active September with three developments covering platform visibility, funded account recovery, and a new lower-cost one-step challenge.

  • The firm’s first update came through its official listing on the cTrader Store, expanding Leveraged’spresence within the cTrader ecosystem and giving users another way to discover its funding programs directly through a platform they may already be using. This is more than additional exposure for the firm.
  • A more distinctive development arrived through Refuel, a new feature specifically designed for traders who breach a Funded Turbo account. Normally, losing a funded account means returning to the beginning of the process. The trader purchases another challenge, completes the evaluation requirements again, and only then regains access to funded trading. Refuel changes that process by allowing an eligible trader to reset the breached Funded Turbo account and return directly to the funded stage, eliminating the need to complete another evaluation.
  • Leveraged also expanded its challenge lineup with Leveraged ONE, a new one-step evaluation built around comparatively low entry pricing. The program begins at $29 for a $10,000 account, followed by $49 for $25,000, $99 for $50,000, and $188 for $100,000. The evaluation requires traders to reach a 6% profit target, while respecting a 3% daily loss limit and 6% maximum trailing drawdown.

Upcomers

Next we have Upcomers:

  • September marked the official addition of Upcomers to Forex Prop Reviews, expanding the selection of proprietary trading firms available through our platform and introducing an exclusive promotion for traders interested in exploring its programs. Upcomers stands out primarily because its ecosystem is not around one specific funding format. Instead, the firm provides a broader selection covering one-step and two-step evaluations, instant funding, futures accounts, and perpetual accounts. To claim the offer, traders can use our exclusive discount code FOREXPROPREVIEWS during checkout.

Blue Guardian

Blue Guardian continued its rapid pace of development in September, with significant changes affecting both its Reserve Plan and Blue Guardian Futures ecosystem.

  • The first set of updates centered around Reserve, where the firm has moved toward a more configurable account structure rather than requiring every trader to operate under exactly the same conditions. Under the revamped model, traders can select between 40% and 50% consistency options, giving them greater control over how strictly profits need to be distributed across their trading activity.
  • Blue Guardian has also introduced a Daily Loss Limit option, providing another way to customize the account’s risk structure. A complete bundle featuring the 40% DLL configuration has been promoted at $64 per account. The firm has described this as the cheapest comparable bundle in the industry.
  • Blue Guardian’s more consequential September development, however, arrived on the futures side. Beginning September 28, Blue Guardian Futures changed the progression process into its BGF Live program, introducing an account-merging system for eligible funded accounts. Instead of treating multiple qualifying accounts independently when progressing to Live, eligible accounts can now be consolidated into a single Live Account. The updated transition also introduces two additional pathways.
    • The first is a Live Bonus, which can add real trading capital after specified profit milestones have been reached.
    • The second is a Live Buyout, giving eligible traders the option to receive cash rather than continuing with the Live Account itself.

PropXP

PropXP’s September update is considerably more focused than many of the developments we’ve covered so far, but it introduces an important restriction that Funded and Instant Funding traders need to understand before entering a position.

  • The firm has tightened its 2-minute minimum holding rule, removing an exception that previously applied when a losing trade was automatically closed by a Stop Loss before the required 120 seconds had elapsed.

E8 Markets

Next up is E8 Markets:

  • E8 Markets made trading technology the centerpiece of its September development with the introduction of the E8 Markets Terminal, a new browser-based environment designed to bring execution, account monitoring, and performance analysis into one workspace.
  • By displaying that information alongside the execution environment, E8 Markets is attempting to make account conditions more visible while trading decisions are actually being made. Another major component is integrated journaling. The terminal includes journal views covering individual trades as well as daily and weekly activity, alongside broader performance metrics and analytics

Goat Funded Trader

Goat Funded Trader continued developing its broader trading ecosystem in September by unifying its forex and futures platforms, removing the need for traders to maintain separate profiles when accessing the two markets. Previously, the forex and futures sides of the business operated as more distinct environments.

  • Under the new structure, traders can access both through a single workspace and account infrastructure. Existing users can move into the other market without creating another profile, while forex and futures can be switched directly through the platform sidebar.
  • The futures side also received several additional improvements as part of the rollout, including a refreshed interface, three additional languages, and free backtesting. Backtesting is particularly useful in this context. Futures strategies can behave differently across contracts, market sessions, and volatility conditions, so having the ability to test an approach before applying it to an evaluation can help traders better understand how that strategy has historically performed.

RebelsFunding

RebelsFunding took a different direction with its September development, focusing less on individual challenge conditions and more on rewarding traders who continue using its ecosystem over time.

  • The firm has introduced the Rebelsclub, a new loyalty system where benefits increase based on a trader’s purchase history. Through the program, traders can unlock automatic discounts of up to 10% on future RF programs. Unlike a temporary promotional code that expires after a specific campaign, these discounts are connected to the trader’s activity within the RebelsFunding ecosystem.

SpiceProp

Next up is SpiceProp:

SpiceProp’s main September development took place outside its funding programs, with the firm launching a brand-new official Discord server and migrating its trader community away from the previous one. At first glance, a Discord migration may appear relatively minor compared with a new challenge or trading-rule adjustment.

PipFarm

PipFarm delivered three notable developments in September, covering evaluation structure, payout flexibility, and mobile trading access.

  • The largest addition is the new One Step Light Challenge, which introduces a different balance between a lower profit objective and several controls designed to regulate risk and consistency. Traders need to reach a 6% profit target, while there is no daily loss limit. Instead, the account operates with a 4% end-of-day trailing maximum loss.
  • The firm has also introduced a Payout on Demand add-on, providing another option for traders who want greater control over when they withdraw profits. The feature is available across PipFarm’s One-Step, Two-Step, and Pay with Profits Challenges and allows eligible traders to request a payout when they are ready rather than depending exclusively on the standard payout schedule. That additional flexibility comes at a substantial cost. The add-on is priced at 50% of the original challenge price, meaning traders need to decide whether greater control over withdrawal timing justifies the higher initial investment.
  • PipFarm’s third September development improves access to the trading environment itself with the launch of its cTrader Android app.

VanquishTrader

Next we have VanquishTrader:

  • VanquishTrader’s September development centered around multi-account management, with the firm introducing copy trading through a new integration with Alertsify.

Sway Funded

Lastly, we have Sway Funded:

  • Sway Funded closes out our September updates with the introduction of a new loyalty initiative through Sway PLUS, giving traders the opportunity to earn additional rewards through their regular activity on the platform. The system revolves around SFT rewards, which can be accumulated through activities such as logging into the platform and trading.

Conclusion

So, that wraps up the Proprietary Trading Firm Updates for September 2026. With 17 firms featured this month, September delivered another diverse collection of developments covering trading rules, funding structures, technology, payouts, platform accessibility, and trader loyalty.

One of the clearest themes was the continued effort to reduce friction throughout the trading experience. Managing multiple accounts, monitoring performance, accessing different markets, and withdrawing profits are all areas where firms are looking for ways to make their ecosystems more efficient.

Technology is also becoming an increasingly important differentiator. New trading terminals, AI integrations, copy trading systems, mobile applications, backtesting tools, and unified account environments show how far the industry has moved beyond competing exclusively through challenge conditions.

At the same time, traders are receiving more control over payout structures, account configurations, evaluation models, automated trading, and funded account progression. However, September also brought examples of rules becoming more restrictive or being clarified, reinforcing why traders should always review the latest conditions attached to their specific account.

Another noticeable trend is the growing emphasis on long-term trader retention. Faster payouts, funded account recovery options, live trading progression, loyalty systems, and activity-based rewards demonstrate that firms are increasingly thinking beyond the initial challenge purchase.
