Top Tier Trader Interview with Traders

Top Tier Trader has started its series of trader interviews. In the first episode of the Trader’s Interview, the host, Grant Hardy, introduces the trader, Derek Vandy. The trader just purchased a Top Tier 300k challenge. 

The trader shared that he looks for confluences in the market, whether it’s a trend line area that rejects at certain levels mixed with a combination of indicators that align with the Confluence in the market. That’s typically how he trades. 

He shared that he has three specific trade setups. There’s a Divergence that he will trade. In divergence, there’s a way to oversee overbought or oversold areas where it comes back into the market. This gives a bit of a move back into the market, and then it will create a new high or a new low based on either: there’s a resistance level, a trend line where it’ll come up a hit. He’ll then trade-off that specific level, but he waits till it gets to exactly the level he wants. He also shared that he trades anywhere from one hour to honestly the daily.

Another setup that Derek use is over-extension. It’s with the actual TDI where the RSI pops out of the Bollinger Bands on the TDI. This gives him a signal if there’s Confluence in the market to either sell or buy that market. 

The trader shared that he has taken about 39 trade setups in the last seven months. He advised that traders must drop what seems like a large lot size in the challenge, especially on the 300K challenge.
