FundedNext recently had the opportunity to interview trader Roman Antoniukov to discuss his journey in the Forex markets and his approach to Forex trading.

Roman, who began his trading career in cryptocurrency, has since shifted his focus exclusively to Forex. “The volatility in crypto died down a little bit, so I moved to Forex,” Roman explained, highlighting the transition that many traders have made in response to changing market conditions.

Currently, Roman is primarily trading the EUR/USD pair, though he remains flexible and will trade GBP/USD or gold depending on market behavior. “I might take a swing trade, but it’s not really common for me to do so,” he said, emphasizing his preference for short-term trades.

Roman’s trading style is heavily influenced by ICT (Inner Circle Trader) concepts, particularly focusing on liquidity pools and market structure shifts. During the interview, he demonstrated his setup, sharing insights into his analysis process. He begins by identifying key liquidity pools on the daily and hourly charts before narrowing down his entry points on the five-minute or even one-minute charts.

“I’m trying to implement ICT’s concepts,” Roman noted. He emphasized the importance of understanding where liquidity is in the market and using that knowledge to anticipate price movements. His approach includes careful risk management, dynamically adjusting his risk based on the proximity of his entry to key areas of interest.

When asked about his favorite day to trade, Roman shared an interesting observation: “My luckiest day is Thursday. Most of my profitable trades seem to happen then.” He attributed this to the potential for more aggressive market moves later in the week, particularly after Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday have set the stage.

As a funded trader with FundedNext, Roman expressed satisfaction with the platform, particularly praising the favorable spreads on EUR/USD.
