The Funded Trader (TFT) has announced the launch of its new TFT Classic 1-Step and 2-Step Challenges. This initiative comes at a time when many in the trading community have voiced frustrations over delays and changing firm policies.
“We know times are tough right now,” TFT stated in a public announcement. “We’re not backing down. We’re facing these challenges head-on and working to get everything back on track.”
The TFT Classic Challenges promise a return to simplicity and fairness — a major shift from previous programs. Both 1-Step and 2-Step options offer traders access to account sizes ranging from $25K to $200K, with transparent rules, static drawdowns, and no minimum profitable day requirements.
TFT Introduces Simplified New 1-Step & 2-Step Challenges
The 1-Step Challenge features a 10% profit target, 3% daily, and 6% max drawdown, and allows payouts after just 7 days. Traders receive an 80% profit split and can hold trades over the weekend, use news trading, and employ automation. Leverage is set at 1:30 for FX and 1:10 for indices, metals, and energies.
Meanwhile, the 2-Step Challenge requires a 10% gain in Phase 1 and a 5% gain in Phase 2, with slightly higher drawdown limits (4% daily, 8% max) and biweekly payouts. Leverage is slightly higher for FX at 1:50.
TFT has also confirmed that revenue from the Classic Challenges will be directed toward pending payouts from the firm’s other programs — Royal Pro, Knight Pro, and Knight Challenges — accumulated over the past month. Any excess profits will further support backlog payments.
As a gesture, TFT is distributing 150 free challenge accounts to traders who completed a recent survey.
The firm emphasized that this launch is only the first step in a broader recovery effort. “These new challenges are being prepped right now and will launch ASAP — stay locked in,” they concluded.
