In a statement to its traders, the firm said that trading on live accounts will not be available from November 5th, 5 pm UTC, until November 6th, 1 pm UTC, as a conservative risk management measure.

The firm emphasized the need for all traders to close their positions on live simulated accounts by 5 pm UTC on November 5th. Any open positions after this time will be automatically closed by the system between 5 pm and 6 pm UTC. Trading will resume as usual at 1 pm UTC on November 6th.
This decision comes in light of the anticipated extreme volatility during the US elections, which could lead to sharp price fluctuations, wider spreads, execution delays, and other market inefficiencies. Goat Funded Trader’s proactive approach aims to protect traders from these potential risks, which can be particularly damaging in volatile markets.
However, this suspension applies only to live accounts. Traders participating in the firm’s challenge phases will still be able to trade, but the firm strongly advises them to proceed with caution. Goat Funded Trader said that it will not be liable for any breaches in the challenge phase that may result from slippage, spread widening, or delayed executions during the high-risk period.
