Funded7 Free Trading Competition Opens to Traders

Home » Funded7 Free Trading Competition Opens to Traders

Funded7 has opened registration for its free trading competition, giving traders a chance to compete on a simulated $100,000 account without paying an entry or funded-account fee. The promotion is particularly accessible because participants do not need to purchase a challenge to take part, shifting the usual prop-firm evaluation cost out of the equation.

The DICE & Funded7 competition runs from September 9 through September 18, 2026, with registration closing on September 11 at 23:59 UTC. That makes the registration deadline the immediate consideration for traders who want to participate.

Funded7 free trading competition offers a simulated $100K account, 10 days, prizes, and no entry fee for traders in September.

Funded7 Free Trading Competition Uses a $100K Simulated Account

The competition provides each participant with one simulated $100,000 account and 1:100 leverage. Traders face a 5% daily loss limit and a 10% maximum loss limit, while position size is capped at 20 lots. Participants must also trade on at least five separate calendar days to qualify for the final rankings.

The leaderboard is based solely on profit percentage, rather than a combination of return, drawdown or other performance metrics. That makes the objective straightforward, but it also changes the risk dynamics: traders competing for the top positions may be tempted to pursue larger returns within the relatively short competition window.

Manual execution is mandatory. EAs, algorithmic trading, copy trading, and signal services are prohibited, meaning the contest is designed around individual discretionary trading rather than automated strategies or account mirroring.

Why the Competition Structure Matters for Traders

The absence of an entry fee removes one of the biggest barriers normally associated with prop-firm competitions and evaluations. A trader can test their execution, risk management and ability to operate under leaderboard pressure without first committing money to a challenge.

There is also an interesting psychological element. Because rankings depend only on profit percentage, the competition naturally rewards traders who can generate returns while surviving the 5% daily and 10% overall loss limits. A strategy that works comfortably under normal account conditions may need to be different when every percentage point affects a public leaderboard.

The five-day minimum is another meaningful constraint. Traders cannot simply take one oversized position, generate a strong return, and immediately qualify. They need activity across multiple calendar days, which places greater emphasis on maintaining an account after an early winning session.

Short Competition Window Raises Risk-Management Stakes

The competition lasts only ten days, and registration overlaps with the event itself. Traders can therefore enter after the start, but late registration leaves less time to accumulate returns and satisfy the minimum trading-day requirement. Registration closes on September 11, while the competition ends on September 18.

That structure is worth considering before treating the event like a conventional prop-firm evaluation. There is no need to reach a fixed profit target to pass, but the leaderboard creates a relative performance incentive. Traders focused on participation and learning can approach it conservatively, while those targeting prizes may face pressure to take more risk.

The prize structure also gives the promotion a different commercial angle. First place receives a B.League courtside ticket, while second place receives a ¥50,000 Amazon voucher plus DICE & F7 merchandise. Third and fourth place receive $250,000 and $100,000 Funded7 challenges, respectively. Each participant can win only one prize.

What It Could Mean for Funded7’s Trader Funnel

For Funded7, a free competition provides more than a short-term promotional event. It creates a low-friction way for prospective traders to interact with the firm’s trading environment before purchasing one of its paid funding programs.

That matters because Funded7 currently offers One-Phase, Two-Phase, and Instant Funding models, with account sizes reaching up to $500,000. Its reviewed programs also feature different combinations of profit targets, drawdown rules, minimum trading days, and payout structures, giving traders several possible paths after the promotional experience.

There is an important distinction, however: a free competition should not automatically be equivalent to a normal funded account. Funded7 states that promotional and competition accounts can carry separate payout and trading limitations. Traders who later move into a paid program should therefore assess the specific rules of that account rather than assume the competition conditions carry over.

Traders Should Focus on the Rules, Not Just the Prize

For participants, the strongest feature of the DICE & Funded7 competition is arguably its zero-cost access to a defined trading environment. The $100,000 simulated balance provides enough notional capital for traders to test position sizing and risk discipline without putting a challenge fee at stake.

The more important question is whether a trader’s normal strategy fits the contest’s restrictions. Manual-only execution, the 20-lot maximum, five required trading days, and fixed loss thresholds all need to be incorporated before entering. Traders should also remember that maximizing leaderboard returns is not the same objective as preserving capital in a conventional funded account.

With registration closing on September 11 at 23:59 UTC, the window to enter is limited. For traders interested in testing their approach without paying for a challenge, the promotion offers a relatively low-cost way to experience competitive prop-style trading while keeping the financial commitment at zero.
