FundingPips Copy Trading Expands to Match-Trader

Home » FundingPips Copy Trading Expands to Match-Trader

FundingPips copy trading has expanded beyond MetaTrader 5, with Match-Trader now joining cTrader and MT5 in the firm’s trade copier. For traders managing multiple accounts, the update is less about adding another platform and more about making one trading strategy easier to deploy across a broader account setup.

FundingPips copy trading now supports Match-Trader, cTrader and MT5, giving traders more flexibility across accounts and platforms.

FundingPips Copy Trading Expands to Match-Trader

The firm says traders can copy their own accounts across platforms and keep them synchronized. It also allows traders to copy positions across their accounts, including external accounts, provided the FundingPips account remains the main account.

FundingPips Adds Match-Trader to Trade Copier

The addition gives FundingPips traders three platform environments to work with: MT5, cTrader and Match-Trader. The copier is designed around a lead account and follower accounts, allowing positions opened on the main account to be replicated rather than manually entered on each account.

That matters particularly for traders who deliberately spread capital across several FundingPips accounts. Instead of executing the same setup repeatedly, a trader can potentially centralize execution and use the copier to maintain consistency across the account portfolio.

FundingPips’ broader offering already includes multiple evaluation structures, account sizes from $5,000 to $200,000, and several payout models. The copier therefore fits into a wider ecosystem where traders may operate more than one account rather than treating every challenge as a standalone trading environment.

Why Cross-Platform Copying Matters for Prop Traders

The operational benefit becomes clearer when traders use different platforms for different accounts. Without a copier, maintaining identical entries across MT5, cTrader, and Match-Trader creates additional execution work and introduces the possibility of missed trades, inconsistent lot sizes or different entry prices.

Copying reduces that friction, but it does not remove the need for risk management. Traders still need to understand how position sizing works between accounts with different balances or equity levels. FundingPips’copier documentation describes sizing mechanisms based on follower balance or equity, as well as an option to copy the original lot size.

There is also an important compliance angle. FundingPips permits traders to copy between their own accounts and use a FundingPips account as the master for an external account, while copying trades into a FundingPipsaccount from an outside source is prohibited.

A Retention Feature as Much as a Trading Tool

For FundingPips, the feature can also encourage traders to build larger account portfolios within its ecosystem. Once a trader has established a strategy and execution process, the ability to replicate it across several accounts makes staying within one firm’s infrastructure more convenient.

That has practical significance because traders often evaluate prop firms not only on challenge pricing, but also on what happens after passing an evaluation. Payout frequency, account management tools, platform availability, and the ability to manage multiple accounts can become just as relevant once the trader has an established strategy.

One point traders should watch closely is platform-specific functionality. FundingPips’ current public help documentation still contains sections describing the copier as MT5-only, despite the firm’s latest announcement and dashboard update adding Match-Trader and cTrader. Traders should therefore confirm the exact lead/follower combinations available in their own dashboard before relying on cross-platform copying for live account management.

What FundingPips Traders Should Check

The update is most useful for traders who already operate multiple accounts or maintain external trading accounts alongside their prop accounts. Before using it, traders should verify position-sizing settings, platform compatibility, symbol mapping, and account ownership requirements rather than assuming every combination will behave identically.

For traders who manually reproduce the same strategy across several accounts, the new functionality could remove a significant amount of repetitive execution. The bigger advantage is consistency: one controlled trading process can potentially replace several separate manual executions.
