Who is the CEO of Funded Trading Plus?
Simon Massey is the CEO of Funded Trading Plus. He is an adrenaline-driven person who, as a young man, followed the idea that being a first responder in emergency services would give him satisfaction and a long-term career. However, after ten years, he realized that this wasn’t his path as he looked into how his future was forming. He decided to take a leave and used the time to consider his options for the future.
Simon got the idea of going into the financial business from his friend Pasha, who was an ex-city trader for one of the bigger Wall Street banks who is a successful retail trader. He realized while learning from Pasha that there were numerous possibilities, which encouraged him to start trading for himself. In a couple of years, he decided to quit his job and started trading full-time.
In addition to trading, Simon also focused on helping and mentoring others. With that idea, Trade Room Plus was formed so that he and Michael could share their experience with others and help them start their trading journey. However, the idea of Funded Trading Plus came from the big advantage that Pasha had over average retail traders, which was a serious amount of capital. This way, with the proprietary trading firm formed, they allow every single individual to work with higher amounts of capital that would normally have been unreachable for average retail traders.

Funding program options
Funded Trading Plus offers its trader four different programs to choose from:
- Experienced trader program
- The advanced trader program
- Premium trader program
- Master trader program
Experienced trader program accounts
Funded Trading Plus experienced trader program account requires traders to meet the evaluation requirements with no time limitations, where you are allowed to trade with 1:30 leverage.
The evaluation phase requires a trader to reach a profit target of 10% while not surpassing their 3% maximum daily loss or 6% maximum trailing drawdown rules. During your evaluation phase, you have no minimum or maximum trading day requirements which means you can trade at your own pace.
By completing the evaluation phase you are awarded a funded account where you have no profit targets. You are only required to respect the 3% maximum daily loss and 6% maximum trailing drawdown rules. You can request your payout by achieving a profit of over $50 once per week. Note that you start with an 80% profit split which can be increased up to 90% when you scale your account for the first time.

$50,000 | $100,000 | $200,000 | $400,000 | $800,000 | $1,600,000 | $2,500,000 | – | – |

Experienced trader program accounts also have a scaling plan which you can see in the spreadsheet above. To become eligible to scale your account the only requirement is to reach a profit target of 10%. You can make withdrawals before you scale up. However, you must have 10% profit in the account to scale up.
Example:
- $200,000 – starting account balance
- $216,000 – drawdown now fixed at $200,000
- $216,000 – $6,000 = $210,000 – new balance after withdrawal
- $210,000 + $16,000 = $226,000 – new account balance
- $226,000 + $200,000 = $426,000 – scaled up account with profit, drawdown now fixed at $400,000
- $426,000 – $10,000 = $416,000 – new balance after withdrawal
This example shows us how a trader may decide to manage their account by withdrawing profits along the way while also being able to scale up.
Trading instruments for the experienced trader program account are forex pairs, commodities, indices, and cryptocurrencies.
Experience trader program account rules
- Profit target is a specific percentage of profit that a trader is required to obtain before they can complete an evaluation phase, withdraw profits, or scale their account. The evaluation phase profit target is 10%.
- Maximum daily loss is the maximum loss a trader can reach on a daily basis before the account is violated. All account sizes have a maximum daily loss of 3%.
- Maximum trailing drawdown is the maximum drawdown that is equal to the distance between the highest account balance achieved and the maximum drawdown. All account sizes have a maximum trailing drawdown of 6%.
- Third-party copy trading risk means that if you intend to use copy trading services, you should keep in mind that by using a third-party copy trading service, there might be other traders that are already using it and therefore exactly the same trading strategy. By using a third-party copy trading service, you potentially run the risk of being denied a funded account/withdrawal if you exceed the maximum capital allocation rule.
- Third-party EA risk means that if you intend to use an EA, you should keep in mind that by using a third-party EA, there might be other traders that are already using it and therefore using exactly the same trading strategy. By using a third-party EA, you potentially run the risk of being denied a funded account/withdrawal if you exceed the maximum capital allocation rule.
The advanced trader program accounts
Funded Trading Plus’s advanced trader program account aims to identify serious, and talented traders, who are rewarded for their consistency in the two-phase evaluation period, where you are allowed to trade with 1:30 leverage.
Evaluation phase one requires a trader to reach a profit target of 10% while not surpassing their 5% maximum daily loss or 10% maximum trailing drawdown rules. You have no minimum or maximum trading day requirements in order to proceed to phase two.
Evaluation phase two requires a trader to reach a profit target of 5% while not surpassing their 5% maximum daily loss or 10% maximum trailing drawdown rules. You have no minimum or maximum trading day requirements in order to proceed to a funded account.
By completing both evaluation phases you are awarded a funded account where you have no profit targets. You are only required to respect the 5% maximum daily loss and 10% maximum trailing drawdown rules. You can request your payout by achieving a profit of over $50 once per week. Note that you start with an 80% profit split which can be increased up to 90% when you scale your account for the first time.
The advanced trader program account scaling plan
Account Size | Phase 1 | Phase 2 | Phase 3 | Phase 4 | Phase 5 | Phase 6 | Phase 7 |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
$25,000 | $50,000 | $100,000 | $200,000 | $400,000 | $800,000 | $1,600,000 | $2,500,000 |
$50,000 | $100,000 | $200,000 | $400,000 | $800,000 | $1,600,000 | $2,500,000 | – |
$100,000 | $200,000 | $400,000 | $800,000 | $1,600,000 | $2,500,000 | – | – |
The advanced trader program accounts also have a scaling plan which you can see in the spreadsheet above. To become eligible to scale your account the only requirement is to reach a profit target of 20%. You can make withdrawals before you scale up. However, you must have 20% profit in the account to scale up.
Example:
- $100,000 – starting account balance
- $116,000 – drawdown now fixed at $100,000
- $116,000 – $6,000 = $110,000 – new balance after withdrawal
- $110,000 + $16,000 = $126,000 – new account balance
- $126,000 + $100,000 = $226,000 – scaled up account with profit, drawdown now fixed at $200,000
- $226,000 – $10,000 = $216,000 – new balance after withdrawal
This example shows us how a trader may decide to manage their account by withdrawing profits along the way while also being able to scale up.

Compared to other industry-leading prop firms, they have no minimum or maximum trading day requirements for the experienced trader program accounts, allowing traders to progress at their own pace.

These accounts have no maximum daily loss, only a 5% maximum trailing drawdown to follow. You also have no minimum or maximum trading day requirements. Another positive feature is that there are no profit targets required to be eligible for weekly payouts of 70% up to 90% profit splits. The only requirement is a profit of a minimum of $50.
In conclusion, Funded Trading Plus is different from other industry-leading prop firms by offering four different funding programs. In addition, they also offer traders straightforward rules, which makes them a great choice for any trader. For example, you can trade during news, hold trades overnight, and during the weekends (except on advanced and master programs).
Is getting Funded Trading Plus capital realistic?
It’s essential to see how realistic the trading requirements are when looking at prop firms that best suit your forex trading style. For example, a company offering a high % profit split on a highly funded account sounds great, but if they expect high % gains per month with low % maximum drawdowns, your chances of success become close to zero.
Receiving capital from the experienced trader program accounts is realistic mostly since they have an average profit target (10%) with average maximum loss rules (3% maximum daily and 6% maximum trailing drawdown).
Receiving capital from the advanced trader program accounts is realistic mostly since they have average profit targets (10% in phase one and 5% in phase two) with average maximum loss rules (5% maximum daily loss and 10% maximum trailing drawdown).
Receiving capital from the premium trader program accounts is realistic mostly since they have average profit targets (8% in phase one and 5% in phase two) with average maximum loss rules (4% maximum daily loss and 8% maximum trailing drawdown).
Receiving capital from the master trader programs is also realistic since they are direct funding programs where you can start earning from the start. You have no profit targets to reach while being able to request your withdrawal on a weekly basis.
After considering all of that, Funded Trading Plus is an excellent choice to get funded since you have four different funding programs you can choose from that have realistic trading objectives to follow and conditions to receive payouts.

Conclusion
In conclusion, Funding Trading Plus is a legitimate proprietary trading firm that offers traders a chance to choose between four different funding programs: Experienced, Advanced, Premium, and Master.
The experienced trader program is an evaluation program where you are required to complete one phase before being eligible for payouts. You are required to hit a profit target of 10% without surpassing the 3% maximum daily loss and 6% maximum trailing drawdown rules. With experienced trader programs, you can earn up to 90% profit splits while also being able to scale your accounts.
Advanced trader programs are an industry-standard two-phase evaluation challenge that requires the completion of two phases before becoming funded and being eligible to earn profit splits. Funded Trading Plus requires traders to reach profit targets of 10% in phase one and 5% in phase two before becoming funded which are realistic trading objectives considering you have a 5% maximum daily loss and 10% maximum trailing drawdown rules to follow. With advanced trader programs, you can earn up to 90% profit splits while also being able to scale your accounts.
Premium trader programs are also an industry-standard two-phase evaluation challenge that requires the completion of two phases before becoming funded and being eligible to earn profit splits. Funded Trading Plus requires traders to reach profit targets of 8% in phase one and 5% in phase two before becoming funded which are realistic trading objectives considering you have a 4% maximum daily loss and 8% maximum trailing drawdown rules to follow. With premium trader programs, you can earn up to 90% profit splits while also being able to scale your accounts.
Master trader programs are actually direct funding programs that allow you to skip the evaluation period and jump directly into trading a funded account and earning weekly profit splits. There are also no time limitations, lot size restrictions, or consistency rules to follow. With master trader programs, you can earn 70% up to 90% profit splits while also being able to scale your accounts.
I would recommend Funded Trading Plus to anyone who is looking for a prop firm with straightforward trading rules. They are a well-established proprietary trading firm that offers excellent conditions with four different funding programs to choose from that target a big pool of individuals with unique trading styles. After considering everything Funded Trading Plus has to offer, they are for sure one of the industry-leading prop firms.

Just get my first payout! Great support and fast withdraw 😀
This company really is good, I like the no trading days limits. Thank you for showing it to me, I will join them next month when I get my salary!
very good prop firm, thx for discount
Most beneficial rules among the prop firms
Did you really check their withdrawal and the drawdown water mark rule? if I’m not wrong, you’re unable to fully withdraw all your profit, you need to left the profit for the drawdown allowance.
Yes, Funded Trading Plus has a trailing drawdown limit that stops at the account starting balance. This means that you should create a buffer for your balance before starting to withdraw any profits. It should be decided based on the trading strategy that you are using, and on your risk management strategy.
Very reliable support team, answered everything that I wanted to know. Can’t wait to join them next month!
No time limit is so good for me
Wow, love the updated review, keep up the awesome work with providing us everything we need to know about prop firms
📌 There is another test or hidden rule involved in this firm
Before purchasing this firm’s program, it is important to keep in mind the rule that the Max Relative Drawdown rule
provided by the company does not exist, and that only the ❌ Maximum STATIC Drawdown exists
before the test passes and the balance increases significantly.
FTP ❌ does not accurately notify these very fatal facts.
For this reason, it is difficult to know the actual challenge before you actually proceed with the test.
❌ Subsequent drawdown in the balance are not reflected and MDD allowance of 10% is activated
based on the ❌ All-Time-High reached by the balance.
It is recommended that you buy it knowingly ❌ as strict as the time-limited tests provided by other prop firms.
Thank you for your comment. Note that Funded Trading Plus maximum relative drawdown (trailing drawdown) isn’t a hidden rule since it is mentioned multiple times in all three of their funding programs on their website. In addition, we also have the rule explained under each of their funding program account rules section in the review on our website.
Thx for discount
Such a well developed dashboard, 10/10 prop firm for sure!
Thank you for the review.
Really helped me understand their rules, especially the trailing drawdown part.
great review and great firm
awesome prop firm
So good, I just with they remove the trailing drawdown.
after the evaluation. What conditions must be met to be eligible for a refund of the evaluation purchase price?
Kindly note that with Funded Trading Plus’ Experienced and Advanced Programs, they refund the original fee alongside a withdrawal after you reach the profit target of the live account.
You must have 10% of the profit on a live account to request a refund of your evaluation fees alongside the withdrawal.
The worst experience with an anchor company (funded trading plus).
Hello, I had the worst experience with this company, since for a 200k evaluation that Opened on May 7, 2023, I received an email on May 10, 2023 saying that I had infringed the maximum daily loss, when I observed in MT4 I see more than 13 operations that I do not perform. I made the claim and sent the operations log for that day where those operations did not appear to me, so it confirmed that I had not executed them. However, the company’s responses, despite having asked me to send them the operations log, blamed me, without doing any analysis, and wasting my time looking for evidence. I even asked them to verify if the IPs where they carried out the operations were from Colombia and they ignored it. I feel cheated by this company and very upset by the way they analyze the claims, they asked me for support that was not taken into account and in the end I lost $900 unfairly and without any fraud on the part of said company. I have all the evidence available to the community so that they think twice to pay evaluations with funded trading plus.
The reviews are on trustpilot, there is another with the same situation that was not successful either.
We suggest that you kindly contact them again, as their proprietary trading firm handles these types of situations as professionally as possible. They will always do their best to be fair with their traders and in a case where they have made a mistake, you can be sure that you will be compensated from the company’s side. So, as I have said, contact them again, and try to explain the situation from the beggining so they can help you resolve it.
